How Can I Acquire an Absentee Ballot?

Those interested in voting absentee must apply for an absentee ballot to the County Clerk. Application forms can be obtained by writing, calling, or visiting the County Clerk's office, or by downloading the form from the Secretary of State's web site (http://www.idsos.state.id.us/elect/voterreg/absentee.pdf).

Applications will be accepted as early as 60 days prior to the election and no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day before the election. Those interested in applying for an absentee may submit a written request in place of the application form as long as the request contains the following information:

- Applicant's home address and county of residence
- Address to which such ballot should be mailed.
- Applicant's signature

In order to be counted, the completed absentee ballot must be received by the County Clerk by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the election. The ballot may be mailed or hand-delivered.
