Who Can Absentee Vote in Delaware?

All registered voters may choose to vote by absentee ballot. Absentee voting is permitted in both Primary and General Elections.

How Can I Acquire an Absentee Ballot?

To obtain an absentee ballot, voters must phone or write their county Department of Elections in adequate time before the election (allowing time for the ballot to be sent out to the voter and be returned to the Department of Elections by election day) .

Otherwise, voters that can not attend the polls on election day may vote at the Department of Elections in the county in which they are registered to vote during scheduled hours before noon on the day prior to the election.

How do I Return the Absentee Ballot and What is the Deadline?

Ballots must be returned to the Department of Elections no later than the close of polls on Election Day.
